Rosacea & Redness

Rosacea is a skin condition that causes your skin to appear flushed or red, often accompanied by small pus-filled bumps. It can resemble acne or other skin issues. Symptoms can vary based on skin color, with flushing and blushing being more noticeable on lighter skin but trickier to detect on brown or Black skin. This can lead to challenges in obtaining the correct diagnosis for individuals with darker skin tones.

Skin Type:

When rosacea shows up on your face, your skin will appear more flushed, and you might notice broken blood vessels, also known as spider veins, as well as pus-filled bumps.

Routine for Rosacea & Redness

important note

Sunscreen is a must for everyone. But if you have rosacea, you’ll want to take particular care to apply (and reapply) sunscreen each and every day.

1. Cleanse your face

Cleansing your face in the morning and at night is important for removing oil and dirt that can irritate your skin. Be gentle when cleansing – use your fingertips to apply the cleanser in a circular motion. Rinse it off with warm water using just your fingertips. It's essential to thoroughly remove the cleanser without being harsh. Any leftover cleanser can cause irritation.

2. moisturize

Using moisturizer is crucial for both dry and oily skin affected by rosacea. By moisturizing, you can effectively hydrate your skin by locking in moisture. It also helps to replenish essential lipids, making your skin feel less irritated and more at ease. After washing your face, it's important to wait for it to dry before applying moisturizer to prevent any burning or stinging sensation.

3. add a serum & Masques

Using Vitamin C serum or Masque in the morning can help brighten and even out the skin tone.

4. use a Sunscreen

It's very important for everyone to protect their skin from the sun, especially for those with rosacea. UV light can trigger and worsen irritation and inflammation.
