Bamboo Extract

For centuries, Eastern medicine, including Indian, Chinese, and other Asian cultures, have used bamboo in many aspects of daily living including our favorite, skin repair and anti aging. Today, the benefits of bamboo extract are making their way to western medicine, providing a holistic approach to combat a variety of skin problems and nourish the skin with anti aging properties. You can find this fast growing and resilient grass in many climates, making it a very sustainable (and popular!) product for many regions. Bamboo is very well known for its use in treating infections due to its antibacterial, anti-viral and anti-inflammatory properties.

Silica - Mother Nature's Natural Remedy

In the thick-walled culms of the Bamboo leaf is one of the richest sources of silica, a compound also found in the human body's connective tissues. Silica is metabolized within the body and has regenerative properties that help in cell formation, call regeneration, and inhibiting signs of aging while also providing the body with vitamins, amino acids and minerals. Silica is very beneficial in aiding the absorption of trace minerals and restoring elasticity and suppleness to the body's major tissues, often in the skin, nails, eyes, hair, bones, and teeth.

Bamboo Extract for Hair Care

Many hair products have incorporated bamboo into their ingredient list because of its beneficial properties. Bamboo extract keeps the hair ducts clear of any build up, dead skin cells, oils and products, allowing for increased cell regeneration and improved sheen and luster. Studies have even shown its use in preventing hair loss.

Bamboo Extract for Skin Care

Because of its natural cell regeneration, when this bamboo extract is used topically, it can significantly help improve skin conditions and fight anti aging. It also aids in the skins ability to absorb essential nutrients such as calcium, potassium and magnesium. These important nutrients keep your skin balanced and healthy. Bamboo extract also contains many antioxidants, which fight free radicals - the molecules responsible for cell damage and premature aging. Also known for its use as an anti-irritant, bamboo extract is an effective ingredient in many lotions and creams aimed at calming inflamed and irritated skin. Interested in Bamboo Products?
